Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced people manager to join the Operations Management Team at vChain
As Team Manager, the key mission is to manage, motivate and help the Supply Chain Coordinators to resolve any customer issues or queries, working collaboratively with Account Management - Customer Success Managers, Sales, Pricing & Procurement and Product as well as building long term relationships with customers and global partners.
As a member of the Operations management team, reporting to the Managing Director UA this role lies at the heart of the vChain’s business and relationship with its customers and is a mission-critical role in helping vChain to continue to scale at pace.

What will you be doing?
• As part of the Operations leadership team, develop, communicate and deliver customer service & supply chain operations strategy in line with business growth plans
• Development & coaching of the Supply Chain coordinators to deliver best in class cost performance, operational excellence, and customer service
• Manage your Operations team and the customers within it to ensure we overachieve against customer expectations including communication response time, efficient delivery and issue resolution time
• Management of your team to deliver functional, developmental and business targets and KPIs
• Act as the first point of functional escalation on relevant customer service and supply chain operations issues, working with Customer Success/account management to get to solutions for customers
• Stakeholder relationship management (internal and external)
• Act as the Operations key contributor, as part of a cross-functional team, on customer implementations/changes in current customer base or new business
• Promote a culture of positive behaviours within your team, demonstrate strong leadership and address any poor behaviours and working practices to coach the right behaviours
• Create a culture of learning and challenge within your own department through training sessions/ individual training plans
• Own Operations’ financial KPIs - On-time billing, invoice accuracy, and cost management
What You’ll Need
· 5 years First Line Manager level experience in Freight and Logistics
· Experience managing an Operations team
· Understanding of how deliver industry leading operational customer service
· Understanding when to/when not to escalate
· Providing relevant information to enable effective decision making and issue resolution by your team
· Ability to balance short and med term priorities
· Able to react quickly whilst maintaining focus and attention to detail
· Willing to support direct reports to resolve issues as needed
· Able to empower direct reports and not get pulled into the detail of every issue
· Embracing change management – short/med & long term
· Ability to identify, develop, and implement improved ways of working
· Proven track record of leading and developing small teams
· Experience with ERP/ Microsoft Excel, PP & Word
· Freight and Logistics qualifications desirable but not essential
· English is a must, EU Languages desirable but not essential
