Skills

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or similar
• Very good English skills
• Several years of (professional) experience in the field of data analysis, big data, data engineering and data integration (preferably in a production environment)
• Very good knowledge of Python and relevant data analysis libraries
• Good knowledge of common databases and formats (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, JSON, CSV)
• Very good knowledge of IT base/cloud technologies (e.g., Linux, VMs, Docker, Kubernetes, MS Azure)
• Experience in building, operating and using distributed computing architectures
• Very good analytical skills and a high technical affinity
• Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as open-mindedness towards new and diverse tasks
• High motivation, flexibility and willingness to travel

Tasks

• Handling agile data analysis projects in the production environment of our international production sites
• Connection of new data sources in production including data pre-processing and development of appropriate data architectures
• Preparation, modeling and analysis of large data sets
• Introduction and implementation of big data/cloud solutions in the production environment
• Close cross-functional collaboration with international specialists and managers from the areas of digitization, IT, engineering, logistics, production and quality
• Helping to shape the cloud and big data strategy for thyssenkrupp Bilstein
• Evaluation of new cloud and big data technologies for use in industrial scenarios
