About the Role
The Senior Project Manager for the ESG Research Releases will be part of Sustainalytics’ Research Transformation Team, which operates within Sustainalytics’ ESG Research Operations division. The Research Transformation Team aims to manage change (new product and feature releases, new strategies at the Research Teams level) on behalf of the Research Teams and swiftly transfer the new paradigms to the operations teams to support the teams’ growth in an agile and sustainable manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the central person to collect new product requirements or other proposed product changes and to translate them into new research requirements across research operations teams, explaining the new product vision.
- Act as a liaison between multiple stakeholders and research operations teams and ensure that all parties are aligned to achieve a coordinated and optimized outcome.
- Liaise with Product Development Strategy Team Product Managers on the product roadmap planning, scope and research release planning.
- Manage the project portfolio of all change projects for the Corporate Solutions suit of products. Communicate progress on the roadmap to senior leaders in the Sustainalytics ESG Research division.
- Analyze research requirement change proposals (as-is vs to-be) and create recommendations. Prepare decision processes where there are several possible courses of action.
- Conduct workload analysis and cost basis of any changes and new research, in collaboration with research operation managers.
- Plan and lead implementation projects and partner with research operations managers to ensure that research processes, guidance and platforms are adjusted/developed to support new research requirements and ensure that operational gates are passed in a timely manner. In implementing plans, quality and efficiency must be built in and mechanisms put in place to measure and deliver benefits.
- Act as research change ambassador and coordinate change management initiatives.
- Manage and mentor research a team of Research Release Associate Project Managers, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in economics, finance, business management, environmental or social sciences.
- 15+ years of work experience in the ESG/financial industry.
- 5+ years of experience in ESG product development.
- Strong process management capabilities.
- Proven experience with change management and operating in an international environment.
- Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to set clear priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in a data driven or research operations environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, individually as well as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage/connect and build effective relationships at different levels, while managing competing interests.
