The position is of key strategic importance to the company as you will contribute to the methodology development, maintenance and enhancement of Sustainalytics’ Compliance Product offerings, including products speaking to the EU Taxonomy, Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations (SFDR) and Benchmark Regulations (BMR). In particular, you will be responsible for supporting methodology managers and leadership with multiple types of reports, quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive product innovations and enhancements, also in close collaboration with product managers and research teams.
Role & Responsibility:
Collaborate with methodology managers on methodology & product development; translation of product ideas into data-driven models that can be implemented and tested;
Closely watch regulations and regulatory developments, both in the EU and outside the EU;
Interpretation and communication of regulatory requirements and their implications for existing compliance products;
Translation of regulatory requirements into compliance products, in close collaboration with product managers, client teams, IT teams and research teams;
Testing of internal and external validity of models including change/impact analyses and portfolio performance analyses;
Interpretation and communication of testing results;
Apply data science techniques and perform statistical analyses to gain insights on indicator & metrics base, using our internal data base and IT systems structures;
Collaborate with IT team to implement changes in indicators & metrics into IT systems .
Business Stakeholder Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in economics, finance, econometrics or related discipline;
1-2 years work experience;
A strong skillset that includes a background in quantitative analysis, financial statement analysis, an understanding of European regulations and the financial sector; competences in statistics, programming, econometrics and mathematical modelling are a plus.
Creativity and problem solving that can be applied in real-life applications;
Attention to detail, good understanding of regulatory texts and jargon, structural thinking with strong conceptual capabilities as well as understanding of global regulatory dynamics.
Strong MS Excel knowledge including VBA, with experience in Python, R or other statistical software considered an asset;
SQL and PowerBI skills considered an asset;
Ability to work independently and within a strong team environment.
