The Role

You will be expected to...

As an Incident Response Technician, you will play a key role in the ongoing development of our client’s incident response service line. This role will suit an individual with a strong background in system/network administration coupled with experience in dealing with incidents and a desire to focus on Incident Response going forward. The successful applicant will also be supported in developing their skills in complimentary domains such as Digital Forensics and Penetration Testing

You will also…

• Play an integral role in Incident Response engagements, working closely with both of their clients to respond quickly and effectively
• Ensure that their team’s methodologies, tools, and skillset are best-in-class
• Support other service lines as required, utilising their experience of system/network administration and forensic skills

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have…

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in total, working in either a system/network administration role or an Incident Response role
• Up-to-date knowledge of current threats, common attack vectors, etc
• Experience in software deployment, server builds/hardening and network appliance configuration
• Strong career focus on Incident Response and related disciplines
• Experience with SIEM, EDR or other security technologies, especially in regards the deployment of agents
• Coding experience with one or more programming/query languages, e.g., Python, SQL
• Experience in Digital Forensics, Compromise Assessment, Threat Intelligence, or any SOC-based activities
• Experience with Sharepoint
• Experience in a client-facing role, for example in a professional services organisation
