To be successful in this role you need the following:
- Previous experience in building backend systems
- Knowledge of Node.js
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking, pragmatism, and communication skills
- Ability to make efficient decisions, to combine technical things with business decisions
- Focus on code quality and best practices
- Interest in software design patterns and architecture like a modular monolith and/or microservices
- Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Ability to write tests (unit tests, integration tests, E2E tests)
- Being familiar with TypeScript
- Comfort with speaking and writing in English
What would be nice to have:
- Experience with team/project management
- Interest in technological innovations, following industry trends
- Experience with asynchronous communication patterns (message queues/events)
- Experience with building/working with infrastructure
