WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE:

• Common understanding around Azure resource management and IDP (Tenants, Subscriptions, Azure AD, IAM) and their relations.
• Experience with Azure services: Compute and Network, Storage and CDN, Database, Analytics, Application Services, Deployment, and Management
• Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking
• Familiarity interacting with Azure APIs
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, build and deploy
• Experience in automation and testing via scripting & programming (Bash, PowerShell, Jenkins, Python)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and best practices such as Terraform or ARM, as well as knowledge of configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Salt)
• Extensive experience with container based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS
• Experience with modern observability/monitoring systems such as Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, Nagios, New Relic
• Understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies and associated ways of working

WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the Azure platform
• Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes on Azure and Azure DevOps
• Ensure application and/or infrastructure security with industry best practices and tools
• Work closely with developers to implement continuous delivery systems and methodologies on Azure
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on Azure
• Build tools and processes to support the infrastructure
• Informally train and share Azure/Azure Devops knowledge within the team
