Project Voyager is a nonprofit organization that combines technology partnerships and human intervention for better socioeconomic inclusion of adults in vulnerable contexts. Our main initiative is Jobs for Ukraine, an ecosystem that enables refugees from Ukraine to integrate into host countries through easy access to appropriate work and learning opportunities.
We are currently working with a global community of over 17,000 refugees and 2,600 employers.
Job Summary:
We are looking for talents in Brasov.
This is a part-time position (4 hours/day; 20 hours/week), with end date - November, 24 2025 with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on guiding individuals through the job market and supporting their successful employment integration. This is part of a nation-wide project in partnership with 4 other organizations.
We seek a proactive, highly organized colleague with strong communication skills to join our team. They must contribute towards a working environment where everybody feels safe and empowered to do their work. They must demonstrate zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment including sexual harassment, sexism, gender inequality, discrimination, and abuse of power.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct individual assessments of candidates to identify their skills, competencies, and professional interests;
- Provide career counseling and help in developing career plans, identifying opportunities for professional growth;
- Offer up-to-date information on the job market, trends, and employer requirements;
- Organize training sessions and workshops on job search techniques, CV writing, and interview preparation;
- Collaborate with government employment agencies, educational institutions, and other partners to facilitate job market integration;
- Develop and maintain relationships with private sector organizations, including businesses and industry associations, to provide various job opportunities for beneficiaries.
- Maintain an updated database of available job opportunities and candidates seeking employment;
- Inform beneficiaries about social and financial support offered within the project and by Romanian authorities, according to current legislation (allowances, subsidies, etc.);
- Facilitate access to integrated services provided by local authorities/institutions (e.g., AJOFM, ISJ, AJPIS, etc.);
- Record cases in the project database, ensuring proper archiving and safe keeping of tools and relevant documents;
- Participate in organizing orientation sessions for community and various socio-cultural, educational, or recreational events and activities related to the project;
- Use the platform jobs4ukr.com to assist in fulfilling responsibilities.
Skills and qualifications needed:
- Degree in Psychology/Pedagogy/Law/Social sciences/Counseling with a minimum 1-year proven experience in employment mediation, HR or related fields.
- Excellent command of Ukrainian and working-level proficiency in Romanian and/ or English are mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to convey instructions, recommendations, and ideas effectively)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a range of people
- Experience of managing multiple tasks/ activities at any one time
- Able to use IT and tools such as Microsoft Office and other productivity tools
- Desire to continually learn and develop new skill sets to deliver exceptional experiences to our candidates and partners.
- Willingness to investigate and understand the needs and aspirations of the communities we serve.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative to develop and promote services
Would be an advantage to have one or more of the following:
- Previous experience in working with Applicant Tracking Systems and/or Job Boards.
- Internal/ external communications and/ social media management expertise.
- Knowledge of the Romanian social system for Ukrainian refugees
