An exciting opportunity to join our team within a growing ICT Services company with a global portfolio, as a Senior Bid Manager in our Global Bid Management Team.
Team Purpose:
To provide first class bid support and management to Getronics’ Business Development teams by developing compelling propositions for our existing and new customers.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Global Head of Bid Management, this role will manage virtual teams of subject matter experts in the development and submission of multiple high value bids from qualification through to contract signature whilst ensuring adherence to governance processes and best in class bid management practices.
Responsibilities/Accountability:
Providing support to the business development community in the coordination of the end-to-end bid process for competitive tenders, the candidate will be a self motivated individual delivering:
- Management of the end-to-end bid process (from allocation to contract signature)
- Ensure consistent communication with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Create and execute repeatable, innovative bid plans including budgets, roles, schedule and risks
- Lead and manage all appropriate bid document reviews
- Provide clear communications allowing senior stakeholders to influence desired outcomes
- Manage diverse, geographically dispersed teams including, 3rd party suppliers/sub contractors
- Ensuring the timely and consistent delivery of high quality bid submissions on time, to budget and specification
- Ensuring all proposal produced are aligned with corporate brand guidelines and company bid management standards
- Developing and maintaining excellent internal relationships with key knowledge centers and subject matter experts
- Ensuring compliance with in house governance processes
- Reviewing bid submissions for quality, compliance and consistency
Skills/Experience
For this role you will ideally be degree educated or equivalent with demonstrable skills and experience in the following areas:
- Demonstrable experience of winning large, complex, bids in the IT Services Market
- Practical experience and application of Bid Management tools and techniques within a variety of situations
- An understanding of client budget, P&L cash flow and ROI
- Experience of conflict resolution, using a wide range of formal and informal techniques
- Effective at interpreting and effectively using customer evaluation and weighting criteria
- Technology expertise in understanding solution business drivers & understanding technical knowledge of IT/communications and managed data network preferred
- Self motivated and able to work under pressure
- Innovative – able to articulate bid requirements to bid teams and establish win themes
- Strong decision maker and team player
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work
- Ability to multi task and work on several high value, strategic opportunities simultaneously
- Strong analytical and numerical capability
- Fluent English language skills both verbal and written
Desired Qualification/Certification requirements
- Industry specific qualifications such as Prince2 or APMP
- Other European languages; French, German and Italian particularly attractive
