We have an excellent new opportunity in Hungary to join the Genesys Cloud R&D team as a Sr Director, Cloud Engineering. This role will be influential in building and staffing our latest regional expansion. Key Responsibilities:

• Act as local leader for the Genesys Cloud R&D Team helping us build core software components of our infrastructure.
• Recruit and develop exceptionally talented Engineers and Managers to build a successful and diverse teams.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Technical Leaders to build roadmaps and lead prioritization; balance the right amount of structure and planning for a dynamic engineering team.
• Own problems from end to end, managing complexity and engaging directly with stakeholders to think through everything from business impact, to reliability and operability, and ease of integration across several business systems.
• Scope and lead cross-functional projects with high business impact.
• Foster a culture of mutual respect and collaborative decision-making.
• Regularly present plans and project updates to senior members of the leadership team

Minimum Requirements:

• A track record of running highly effective development teams with an ability to manage both Managers and Engineers.
• Previous 10+ years of experience as a hands-on software engineer with strength in computer science fundamentals to understand the engineering work that is going on in your team
• Understanding of end-to-end creation of a highly scalable resilient cloud services
• Consumer or Enterprise SaaS experience
• Modern SaaS or Cloud Native stack experience
• BS/MS in computer science
• Ability to engage, inspire and attract engineering teams
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• A compassionate approach to communication and a genuine interest in the success and growth of the people you work with.
• Experience with coaching your managers through difficult situations.
