JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to ensure that the WVI’s humanitarian programming meets WV’s quality standards for monitoring, accountability, evaluation and learning. The Monitoring & Evaluation Operations Assistant will support the systematic collection and data registering, and then analysis of key monitoring and accountability data through routine monitoring, trends analysis and ongoing learning activities.
The Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant reports to MEAL Coordinator and ensures that WVI’s humanitarian programmes meet WV’s quality standards for monitoring, accountability, evaluation and learning. The Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant provides support for UCR projects by collecting data in targeted area, through partners and directly with World Vision. The position will have key responsibilities for ensuring high quality implementation of surveys, beneficiaries’ registration and interviews, as well as data analysis.
The position will also liaise with local partners for relevant monitoring of activities in liaison with project managers, field officers and technical advisors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
Attend enumerators’ training
Receive enumeration materials and equipment from the MEAL Officer
Register beneficiaries’ data on Social Stores and/ or Hub Centers
Organize and match hard copies and soft copies
Maintain beneficiaries’ data according to WV protection policies
Assist partners and/or field officers in preparing disaggregated statistics for monthly reporting
Locate sample members
Set and conduct interviews with respondents
Record responses as instructed
Comply with the requirements necessary for conducting a successful interview
Post-Survey duties:
Report the number of surveys collected and any unusual situations to the Monitoring Evaluating Accountability Learning (MEAL) Officer on a daily basis
Ensure that enumerator checklist is complete
Ensure that all questionnaires and equipment are accounted for
Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the MEAL Officer
Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Highly organized individual, punctual, capable of handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing time effectively
Experience in utilizing technology tools and also possess the ability to master new technology tools, as required; familiarity with the use of an Android tablet is an advantage
Ability to work independently as well as an effective team player
Willing to work on the field
Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
Confidence and can-do attitude; ability to advance projects with minimal supervision
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Studies in the field of Sociology / Statistics / Social Science or related field
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically as work requires.
Language Requirements
Ukrainian/Russian and English REQUIRED, Romanian would be a plus
