Cegeka’s Aviation division plays an active role in supplying IT platforms & services for air traffic management in Europe. The 2022 horizon creates a massive opportunity for you as a Product Owner, defining and building a Digital Platform to facilitate air traffic management. The Digital Platform will accelerate delivery and hosting of software applications, offering technical enablers, common services and development tooling (such as security, data services, release automation, Quality Assurance etc.).

Who are we looking for?

• You map customers’ needs and are an experienced analyst who delivers at a higher level all prioritized scope/ required solutions towards the Architects and Analysist Team. This also includes internal Software Factory needs.
• You are on a daily base in close cooperation with the customer and customer partners to define and prioritize the Product Backlog.
• You can easily set priorities on different business levels and are able to setup an incremental delivery approach. Defining and cocreating high level Release content is an important part of your job.
• You can translate the vision and roadmap into requirements and ensure the solution meets customer expectations and relevant quality standards.
• You prepare and host a two-monthly Program Increment Planning which includes all internal and external stakeholders.
• You’ll be working closely together with the analyst team, but also with (enterprise) architects, product management, engagement manager and engineering teams to make sure the platform aligns with the business strategy; is of high quality; meets the time-to-market expectations; and exceeds customer’s expectations.
• You provide backlog management, Integration Planning of upcoming sprints for multiple teams and direct the analyst team towards a comprehensive sprint planning.
• Having an affinity for technical solutions and platforms is key.
• You document and maintain the scope and are responsible for the product backlog.
• Logically structure the requirements in story maps.

What do you need to succeed?

• You have a proven track record as a hands-on product owner in international & Agile environment, translating the company’s vision, platform’s roadmap, needs and wishes.
• You have extensive experience in writing User stories, use cases and product backlog management.
• You are skilled in creating and overviewing acceptance criteria including non-functional requirements.
• You have a product- and developer-centric mindset.
• Experience in projects in aviation is a plus.
• You have a strong Agile mindset and propagate agility among all different stakeholders.
• You are a strong communicator at multiple levels, speaking and writing fluently in English, Dutch is not a must.
• Customer is based region Brussels (Zaventem), you are willing to travel towards the customer at least on a weekly base. Furthermore, you can work from home or a Cegeka location.
