We are looking for a senior automation test engineer to extend the team of a recently started project.

The role of a tester includes activities that generate and provide feedback not only on test status, test progress, and product quality, but also on process quality.

Testers in agile projects, don’t just focus on testing the product to find bugs, rather the focus should largely be on improving the processes to prevent defects, and testers play an important role in this.

Requirements

• 2+ years in software QA automation position
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Advanced API testing knowledge
• Experience in AWS services and serverless architecture is a plus
• Very good English (both written and verbal)
• Working with tools such as Visual Code, Robot framework and Github Actions or comparable tools from other vendors
• Sound knowledge and programming skills
• Basic knowledge and experience in using agile working methods
• Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
• BSc. or MSc. in engineering or equivalent degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Understanding, implementing, and updating the Test Strategy and the testing processes
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured testplans and test cases
• Liaise with development teams (developers and product managers / owners) to identify system requirements
• Developing test scripts, test infrastructure and automation for software products
• Ensuring best practices are used in test automation development
• Coaching other team members in relevant aspects of testing
• Ensuring proper use of testing tools by the developers
• Maintaining test specifications and documentation
• Effort estimation for tasks
• Reporting defects and working with the team to resolve them
• Measuring and reporting test coverage across all applicable coverage dimensions
• Configuring, using, and managing test environments and test data
