The role:

This role of Insurance / Technical Accountant is responsible for the majority of the gross and ceded underwriting result in the financial reporting. The technical accountant is mainly in charge of analyzing results, posting premium and claims reserves and reinsurance calculation.


Your challenges and development opportunities:

Support improvements related to the field of technical accounting.

Strengthen the understanding of PnLs and B/S elements.

Acquire basic knowledge about the calculation method (actuary's calculation, provisioning methods).

Acquire strong skills in SAP FSRI / SAP FI.


Key responsibilities/What you do:

Record the technical reserves in a timely and proper manner based on the actuarial calculations and on the technical accounting process.

Record the alignments linked to the technical result based on the management's decision.

Monitor and check that the records are consistent with the instructions provided by the manager / senior TA.

Participate in the budget process, including within the reinsurance framework.

Run the full reinsurance process in FS-RI for a predefined scope.

Participate in the ongoing preparation of analyses and reports.

Coordinate reinsurance regional deliveries.

Provide documents / extractions during audit sessions related to the defined scope.

 

 

Key requirements/What you bring

Typical Functional Skills / Experiences

Knowledge of the insurance market (credit insurance) and banking market.

Ability to interact in the regional team and with the local teams of chartered accountants.

Be curious in various areas and be proactive.

Strategic mindset with a great focus on market insight.

Results focused and previous experience in working with deadlines for closings.

 

Educational requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance / accounting with 3 years of experience.

Good knowledge of English (intermediate).

Computer literate, Excel experience, SAP knowledge.
